How To Speed Up Your Metabolism With 5 Natural Steps
By K Turner

The aim of this article is to show you how to speed up your metabolism using completely natural methods and easy to follow steps. So forget all about the so called miracle pills and potions and take a look.

1. Eat Breakfast

Every one probably gets sick of hearing that breakfast is the most important meal of the day but the reason it is said so often is because it is true. It is so important for those that diet as it brings our metabolism back to life after it has gone into starvation mode during the night whilst we sleep.

Starvation mode is when our metabolism realizes we haven't eaten for a while and so starts to work at a much slower rate. Until you have eaten again your metabolism will remain in this mode.

2. Eat Small Portions 5 Or 6 Times A Day.

Another way of increasing metabolism that is always recommended, and again the reason for this is because it works. It helps prevent your body going in to starvation mode and also reduces the chances of binging. Also eat slowly and take time to chew your food as this will make you feel fuller for longer.

3 Eat Healthier Foods

Vegetables, fruits and whole grains are all foods that help to give us more energy and increase the speed of our metabolism. Protein is also highly recommended because we burn more calories digesting it than other foods and also it makes us feel fuller too.

4. Keep A Record.

Keeping a record is important for several reasons first and foremost it means you will know what weight loss you have achieved each week. It is also handy if you right down your meals each day as then from your weight loss you will know the meals which are working best for you and which ones aren't.

5. Do More Exercises

Any kind of exercise is good exercise and can help stimulate the metabolism. However if you are looking for a real boost for your metabolism then strength training is the best type of exercise. Since strength training increases muscle mass your metabolism will need to work harder especially immediately after exercise.
