In my opinion the belly is one of the hardest places to get rid of fat. Most people complain that when they diet they seem to lose fat from everywhere else except their belly. Some people are under the impression that the answer to the question how to lose belly fat is to do hundreds of sit-ups and crunches every day. While this will get the stomach area hard and develop the muscles in that region it will not do the trick in getting rid of belly fat.

So what's the secret to lose belly fat? The answer is good old fashioned diet and exercise. You will see me cite this solution for many problems such as these because this is the one strategy that has been proven to work. Loosing belly fat can be a very tedious process...I know but the trick is to formulate a diet and exercise routine and stick with it. All of those years of eating the wrong way and lack of exercise is not going to disappear in a week so you have to mentally prepare yourself for the long journey.

I believe that the mental aspect is probably the most important thing in loosing belly fat. Sometimes it seems that it will never go away. You eat right, force yourself to the gym for weeks and everything seems to be loosing fat but your belly. The thing is that is usually the first area fat stores and the last area it leaves so that is the reason why this happens. You just have to prepare yourself for this and you WILL see results as long as you stick with it.

Keep eating and workout logs so that you see your progress and this will help with motivation. Eat more meal a day but make it smaller portions so that it keeps your metabolism up. If you decide to make up your own daily nutrition make sure there is a deficit in calories between what you are eating and what you are burning as this is the best way to lose fat.
