7 Things That Boost Your Energy and Reduce Stress
By Sarah Dallins

Stress may cause irritability, insomnia, psoriasis, eczema, hives, acne, or lower your immunity to illnesses such as colds or flu. Here are 7 ways to reduce stress and boost your energy.

Set aside some private time or learn some relaxation techniques, no matter how busy your schedule is. Also try to set aside fifteen minutes of your time, every day, to think about everything that's bothering you. Then, whenever you start worrying about something during the day, just postpone it till you start your daily "worrying session" and get it out of your mind.

Try to keep a journal. Those who use journals tend to be better organized and more relaxed, according to recent studies.

Try power sleeping. Up to twenty minutes of power naps can be energizing. However, if you cross the twenty minute line, you`ll probably end up more tired than you were in the first place.

Share household chores with your family if you feel overwhelmed. Turn the chores into an opportunity to spend time and do stuff together.

Always remember to reward yourself by renting a movie, gardening, watching TV, reading, or doing other activities you enjoy.

Laugh more often! Laughing stimulates circulation and the production of certain natural painkillers. It`s also a good exercise for your abs, diaphragm, and other muscles.

Maintain stable blood sugar levels throughout the day by having regular meals. This way you'll get all the proteins, vitamins, carbohydrates, fats, and minerals that give you energy.
