How to Get Rid of Morning Sickness
By peter hutch
Pregnancy morning sickness lays both positive and negative impacts on women anticipating pregnancy. Being one of the surest pregnancy symptom or indicators of pregnancy, onset of this early pregnancy symptom brings immense joy to expecting mothers. On the other hand, the discomforts and queasiness associated with this pregnancy symptom cause women who have conceived to be anxious.

When morning sickness takes hold, you find the whole world congratulating you, as you will be holding the banner 'mom to be'. Announcements are made and sweets are shared but you are found in the bathroom throwing out all that you ate and drank. All you wanted to do is eat but the very taught makes you sick.

The nausea and vomiting associated with morning sickness are caused in part by the major physical changes in pregnancy, the higher levels of certain hormones and a greater sensitivity to odour and taste. Because these changes are an essential part of a healthy pregnancy, to talk about a 'cure for morning sickness' is just not realistic. And most women want to avoid medication while their unborn child is at such a vital stage.

Follow these remedies if you are undergoing the pregnancy morning sickness. Make sure you carry a bag along with you to throw up without making a mess. Spicy and greasy foods are highly potent to increase intensity of this symptom. Consume more of salads, fruits, yoghurts or crackers instead of these spicy and greasy foods. Take in adequate fluids including water and juices to keep your body from being dehydrated. Essential oils have strong fragrance and they are at the same time, chemical free, natural and safe for pregnant women.

Eat several small meals throughout the day. Don't wait until you are starving to eat something. Make sure you plan ahead and pack an apple, some crackers and juice to have with you during the day.

B-6 vitamins. The good thing about B-6 is that it is not only safe, but also healthy. You can continue to take these tablets after delivery. B-6 helps to build the immune system and fight infections.

Use the acupressure method. Of the women that tried the acupressure method, 95% of them had complete and permanent relief from their morning sickness.

Drink 8 to 10 glasses (soda-can sized) of liquid each day. Clear broths, fruit juices, and water are the best choices. You may enjoy herbal teas such as spearmint, peppermint, or chamomile. Drink them slowly and between meals. This will keep you from eating large amounts during meals, which can be a cause of nausea.

Eat Saltine Crackers as soon as you wake up. Some of the ingredient in the crackers can help naturally clam your stomach. Keep a small box next to your bed or in your night stand.

Eat small amounts of food high in protein, such as cheese or peanut butter. Stay away from greasy, fried, or spicy foods. Try to eat every 2 to 3 hours even if you are not hungry. Sit straight up after eating. This will keep food from backing up and making you nauseous.
