They're great for beginners even though they're way better for your stomach than crunches and sit-ups.

1. Rub your belly with a "hot hand"
This is more a technique than an exercise, but it's great to target stomach fat and get rid of it.
Rub your hands together really fast for 10-20 seconds. This generates heat. Then, after you're done doing that, use 1 of the hands to rub your belly in small circles... around your belly button. Do this for 30 seconds or so.
So why do this?
Well, because the heat generated from your hands rubbing together passes through your skin and into your fat cells once you rub your belly.
The heat causes havoc inside the fat cells. Some implode, others loosen up and get washed away and eliminated, and others still fight it off. But with repeated use of the belly rub, they will get eliminated eventually.
I recommend you do this twice a day, 2 minutes each time.
2. If you're busy, jump on a mini-trampoline
You need some cardio work to accelerate getting rid of your belly. Since I'm going to assume you're busy and don't have much time to go to the gym for an hour a day, the next best thing is to use a mini-trampoline for 1-2 minutes here and there.
Just to let you know how I do it personally, I jump on it during commercials (usually at night). The 1-2 minutes really add up since they're so many commercials.
